Meet Shawn Mulchay

As a lifelong Camarillo resident, my gratitude and love for our community runs deep and stretches far. I’m running for Camarillo City Council to bring a more diverse perspective, greater communication and transparency, and community engagement to our City Council.

With this mindset, we can more collectively approach the challenges surrounding development and growth, water resources, traffic, and helping our small business community. My broad knowledge of city and regional issues, entrepreneurial background, professional experience, and analytically-driven common sense approach makes me well-suited in serving the Camarillo community.

Growth & Development

Term Limits

With over 85 years of incumbency between 3 council members Camarillo is in need of fresh representation. Term limits will ensure a rotation of diverse leadership and innovative thinking.

Maintain Public Safety

We must continue to support our law enforcement officials and maintain safe neighborhoods and schools. Community outreach, civic groups, slower growth, and crime prevention programs will aid in reversing increasing crime rates.

Supporting our Local Businesses

Old Town Camarillo and local business districts have languished without City support or a master plan, resulting in Camarillo having the highest vacancy rates in Ventura County. It's time we reinvest our focus into our local businesses, beginning with historic Old Town Boulevard.
